Cambodia Update from Andrea (February)

Praise the Lord for His presence during the Neak Ta parade! Our intercessors group went to the parade site and prayed and worshiped the Lord and then walked through the parade singing, praising and speaking the name of Jesus. We are so thankful as the Lord gave us an overwhelming sense of peace and His hand at work. He broke my heart for one young man in particular who had been selected as a medium to receive one of the demons. His tongue was cut with a sword and he was seated on a chair of nails and you could just see the brokenness and hurt on his face and in his downcast demeanor. We praise the Lord as this year the younger generation did not seem to be "awed" by the rituals and seemed to recognize it as false or alarming. The officials even mentioned that though the parade had more entries than in previous years, they saw record lows in people purchasing the papers for the the blood blessings. Thank the Lord for that! Please keep the young man and all of the participants in prayer for freedom and for them to come to know the one true God.

This month at Mercy Village we had such a blessed time studying with the kids about the fruits of the Spirit and going deeper in the Word with fruit and love themed crafts. The children are not only leaning in Khmer but also in English, which is such grace from the Lord. There was a team visiting from a Las Vegas church, who brought additional crafts, activities and shared the Word. Truly a wonderful time of growth and fellowship. We did prayer walks around a popular monument and riverside area praying for the nation and for one another. I also began dance classes with the kids which has been so awesome to see them enjoy learning and worshiping God through movement. We will be doing classes a couple times a week and the community leader has great vision for the children to really use this to reach more Khmer for the Kingdom. I am excited as it has in addition opened more doors for getting to know, love and fellowship within the community.

Thank you so very much for your continued prayers and support. Please pray for us in the coming months as the Lord opens doors and creates additional opportunities for us to share witness to His goodness. May God bless you!

Cambodia Praise Reports (February):

We thank the Lord for the increasing amount of brothel raids and rescues that have taken place during the month throughout Cambodia and for the young women and children who have been brought to safety! One of the young women who we have been seeking the Lord in prayer for regarding her HIV has gotten report that the virus is no longer detected in her body!! She went from having dangerously high levels last month to UNDETECTED this month. Hallelujah!!

Cambodia Prayer Requests (February)

The Khmer church in Pinellas Park, Florida has received word this month that they will need to find a new church building. Please keep our brothers and sisters in prayer for peace, wisdom and patience as the Lord directs their next steps and for His provision for a new church location.

Phnom Penh held an event this month called "Love Phnom Penh" which was a gathering of believers seeking the Lord in prayer and worship for greater awareness and outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Cambodia. Franklin Graham is expected to come in November and there is hope that the Lord will use his event and the months leading up to and following for a mass harvest of Khmer coming to Christ. Please join us in prayer for the Lord's will, grace and mercy as He goes before and prepares hearts to receive His word and truth.
